Welcome to the Spotlight Community Cinema Festival 2026; a celebration of film, community and creativity across Newry, Mourne & Down.
Over recent years, the Spotlight programme, supported by Film Hub NI and the BFI Film Audience Network, has helped build a vibrant network of community cinemas and film clubs across the district. From village halls to arts centres, local volunteers have created welcoming spaces where audiences can come together to experience great film.
This festival brings that network together for one special week. Each venue presents its own screening, reflecting its audience and identity, while forming part of a shared, district-wide programme.
Together, these events showcase the passion, diversity and spirit of community cinema and the power of film to connect us all.
