Ulster Film Office: Night Killer
Ulster Film Office presents Night Killer (1990), a collaboration from two legends of Italian schlock cinema.
Presented as part of our ongoing 'auteur' sequence of films from directors possessing bilateral symmetry, NIGHT KILLER represents the rectal evacuations of not one but two Italian masters of skills far outside the requirements of narrative cinema - Claudio Fragasso, he of reality defiling, non sequel conundrum 'Troll 2' fame and serial F-movie effluent vendor offender and frequent UFO flyer, Bruno Mattei.
Mere vowels, consonants and punctuation strung together in languageform cannot adequately describe this rat king of logic voidance and gestalt short circuitry that only such a union could sire. Let us just say now that Melanie has amnesia and wants to die after involvement in the incident with the "inordinate volume of seminal fluid" that Dr Willow told everyone about on national TV. This doesn't help the police in their hunt for the serial killer who may or may not be the man who saved Melanie from her own suicide attempt after she made him flush his clothes down a shitty toilet.
Axel drives a Jeep and can't decide if he loves Melanie or wants to kill her because his clothes got ruined in a shitty toilet or just force feed her all of that Kentucky Fried Chicken he bought. He makes her drink sea water and buys her a fur cap.
Meanwhile, the body count rises. Who will be next to die after the neurotic choreographer, the red-riding-hood rentgirl and the plankton technician at the local aquarium?
This question and many others will utterly fail to be answered during our March 16th screening of NIGHT KILLER
Our new venue mercifully incorporates a fully licenced bar. Presented in partnership with the Black Box.
