The NeverEnding Story – 40th Anniversary
Newcastle Community Cinema's Young Programmers present a 40th anniversary screening of The NeverEnding Story (1984).
On his way to school, Bastian seeks refuge from bullies in a bookstore. There, he discovers a book titled "The Neverending Story" and starts reading it in the school attic. The story unfolds in Fantasia, a mystical realm facing a threat from "The Nothing," a dark force that consumes all in its path. To save the kingdom, a human child's help is essential. As Bastian reads about a character resembling himself in the book, he starts to question the reality of Fantasia and his role in its survival.
