Catherine Coulson - beloved as the Log Lady from Twin Peaks - was far more than an enigmatic woman with a piece of wood. A founding presence in Twin Peaks and a close creative partner of David Lynch, she worked behind the scenes as a camera assistant on Eraserhead while also commanding the stage as a passionate theatre actor and director.
Deeply spiritual, with a lifelong devotion to meditation and inner reflection, Coulson brought a quiet intensity to both her art and her friendships - fierce, loyal, and full of warmth. Her life took on a poignant symmetry when, more than 25 years after Twin Peaks first aired, its revival was announced. Facing serious illness, she was determined to return one last time as the iconic Log Lady - a final act of love and dedication that would forever link her spirit to the world she helped create.
