Ormeau Community Cinema is a group of local residents that want to share our love of film and where we live. We'll screen films as regularly as we can, in different community venues. Admission is donation only, and after event and licensing costs are covered, any profits will go towards future screenings. We are all volunteers.
Ormeau Community Cinema organises events for the local community. We show films for families, often with accompanying events. We also show independent films and cult favourites for adults.
Our family screenings at the Ormeau Park Bowling Club have included - among others - Jumanji (as part of the Film Hub Cinema Day), Lego Movie 2, and Farmageddon.
In the Pavilion Bar, we've shown films like Booksmart, Blackkklansman, Reservoir Dogs, and Romeo and Juliet. We have also taken part in two Film Hub NI Collective tours, screening Extra Ordinary and A Bump Along The Way.
