Cushendun Building Preservation Trust have recently restored a 19th Century de-consecrated church and in July 2019 opened he Old Church Centre, an arts, heritage and community space.
The Old Church has been given a new lease of life and will be available for heritage events, drama, concerts, meetings, community activities and much more. The building will also serve as an information and mini-heritage Centre in which visitors can learn about the glorious Glens of Antrim.
We wish to provide services to the local community, heritage/arts enthusiasts and visitors to the area and believe film is a perfect medium to offer opportunities to provide education, culture, art and entertainment in the form of a regular cinematic experience.
Through the Cushendun Community Cinema, we have hosted screenings of family films such as Frozen, Paddington 2, and Grease, as well as public talks like our recent look at 'The Life and Work of Richard Hayward'.
