The Passion of Joan of Arc is hailed as a landmark of cinema. The 1928 silent film, directed by Carl Theodor Dreyer, depicts one of history’s most captivating women. It is a prime example of how some of cinema’s greatest ever storytelling was achieved without the need for dialogue.

The film will be accompanied by an original live score by musicians Heliopause & This Ship Argo, using layered vocal loops and electronica to emphasise the film’s unusual cinematography and portrayal of Joan’s emotional state of mind.

Basic disability access.

So extraordinary is this film’s power, you will believe you are watching her actual trial.
