price: £3

Join us for a screening of two highly controversial documentaries about Northern Ireland.

Originally made for the BBC Real Lives series in 1985, At the Edge of the Union offers a window into the lives of Derry politicians Martin McGuinness and Gregory Campbell. The film faced censorship by Thatcher’s government which triggered BBC strikes. ITV’s controversial Death on the Rock, made in 1988, investigates the killing of an IRA cell in Gibraltar by the British military, and their alleged shoot-to-kill policy. It became the first TV documentary subject to an independent inquiry.

Screening as part of Cinema Day supported by Film Hub NI.
