Cinema Day  - Monday 28th August

Cinema Day is back!

Join us for a full day of fantastic cinema treats throughout Northern Ireland on bank holiday Monday, 28th August.

Watching a film in a crowd is always a memorable experience. Whether you’re a film-buff, love nostalgia, want to support your local cinema or just ready to try something different, we’ve got it covered with a wide range of community film screenings.

What takes your fancy? Family screenings, silver-screen classics, documentaries or quirky one-off happenings? (…and there’s a whole else going on too).

The participating organisations are:

Moviehouse (Cityside/Yorkgate, Maghera & Coleraine)
Naughton Gallery
Odyssey Cinemas
NI Community Foundation (Oldpark Carnegie Library)
Second Chance Cinema
Strand Arts Centre
Into Film
Andrea Dymus events
Fermanagh Film Club
Portrush Film Theatre
The Picture House, Ballyclare
Nerve Centre
Seedhead Arts
New Notions
Aurora Community Cinema, Rostrevor
Belfast Film Festival
Black Box
Web Theatre

Details of all events will be added the day of the programme launch (Thurs August 10th).

Bring your friends, your family or even grab some 'me-time’ by yourself and join us in taking time out to enjoy big screen entertainment.

Final plus point - most of the screenings are free or low-cost, so you’ve got nothing to lose, try something new.

See you at the pictures!
