FEDS 2017 Film Exhibition, Distribution & Sales Trainee Scheme
APPLICATIONS FOR THE FEDS TRAINEESHIP OPENED ON THURSDAY 10 NOVEMBER 2016
The FEDS trainee scheme runs from 6 March - 27 October 2017.
Do you love film and want to gain crucial industry experience?
The Independent Cinema Office (ICO) are looking to recruit ambitious trainees from across the UK who can display these attributes:
- Passion for film
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Experience of using Microsoft Office packages and email
- Ability to work as part of a team
- A desire to learn
Trainees will undertake an office-based placement. As well as gaining hands-on experience of working in the film industry, the trainee placements will be enhanced with regular industry insider training to provide the trainees with a comprehensive overview of the film industry. Trainees will work full-time, will be paid a monthly training allowance, will be entitled to 16 days annual leave, (subject to agreement with their host organisation) and be paid travel bursaries to help pay for attending visits to industry training sessions.
This scheme is specifically designed to redress the imbalances in representation in the film industry. We will prioritise applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people and those who consider themselves to be disabled, which are underrepresented groups in the film industry (3% are BAME and less than 1% are those who consider themselves to be disabled).
